A prática do 5S implementada à 4 anos foi determinante para a unidade de Jacareí virar benchmarking em segurança no grupo

O 5S é uma prática japonesa de organização de ambientes de trabalho. Ela é composta por cinco sensos ou passos, para que as pessoas mudem sua mentalidade e consigam trabalhar de maneira mais eficiente, em um ambiente sempre limpo, organizado e prático.

Diversas empresas têm implantado o processo do 5S no Brasil para reduzir acidentes e aumentar a produtividade. Afinal, é mais provável que um acidente ocorra ou o processo se torne mais moroso quando se tem material espalhado pelo ambiente, em espaços mal organizados.

Na unidade da Ahlstrom-Munksjö em Jacareí, a implantação do 5S começou em 2016, depois de seguidas constatações de problemas ocorridos devido à má organização dos ambientes industriais.

Para isso, foi criado um grupo de implementação do Projeto 5S, que inicialmente mapeou todos os problemas encontrados na fábrica e, a partir deste mapeamento, se reuniu com todos os colaboradores envolvidos no processo industrial para um treinamento da filosofia 5S: o que é, como funciona e como criar esta mentalidade.

Após o treinamento, os colaboradores foram convidados a seguir para suas áreas para praticar a filosofia com monitoramento do grupo 5S. O primeiro passo foi a limpeza e organização dos espaços. Essa também foi uma boa oportunidade para renovar armários, pinturas e tudo que precisava ser atualizado para que os colaboradores se sentissem motivados e incentivados a praticar o 5S. O resultado? Um ambiente completamente novo, prático e funcional, em poucos dias!

Atualmente, é feita uma auditoria a cada dois meses com líderes 5S de cada área da empresa, para garantir que este processo não seja esquecido, mas sim reforçado e praticado constantemente. Adicionalmente, em 2019 haverá um prêmio para a área industrial que mais tiver trabalhado a filosofia do 5S no decorrer do ano, com base nos relatórios dessas auditorias.

5S is a Japanese method of organizing work environments. It is composed of five senses or steps, so that people change their mentality and get to work more efficiently, in an environment that is always clean, organized and practical.

Several companies have implemented the 5S process in Brazil to reduce accidents and increase productivity. After all, an accident is more likely to occur or the process becomes more time consuming when there is material scattered around the environment in poorly organized spaces.

At Ahlstrom-Munksjö  Jacareí unit, the implementation of the 5S began in 2016, after  repeated findings of problems due to the poor organization in industrial environments.

At the beginning, the 5S Project implementation group was created, and this group initially mapped all the problems found in the plant and, from this mapping, organized a meeting with all the employees involved in the industrial process for a 5S philosophy training: what it is, how it works and how to create this mentality internally.

After the training, the employees were invited to go to their areas to practice the philosophy with monitoring of the 5S group. The first step was the cleaning and organization of spaces. This was also a good opportunity to renovate cabinets, paintings and everything that needed to be updated so that employees would feel motivated and encouraged to practice 5S. The result? A completely new environment, practical and functional, in a few days!

Currently, every two months the 5S leaders of the company are audited, to ensure that this process is not forgotten, but reinforced and practiced constantly. Additionally, in 2019 there will be an award for the industrial area that has most worked on the philosophy of 5S throughout the year, based on the reports of these audits.
