Wetlaid nonwoven technology for sterile barrier systems that is ideal for the packaging of medical devices requiring higher resistance, thanks to its composition of cellulose and synthetic fibers.
Ahlstrom Reliance® wetlaid nonwovens are composed of cellulose, synthetic binder and PET fibers. The cellulosic fibers create a tortuous path for bacteria and other microorganisms, resulting in excellent sterility maintenance. The synthetic and PET fibers add softness and strength, providing physical protection to trays and reinforcing sterility for surgical instruments up to the point of use.
Reliance® wetlaid nonwovens are available in two colors and three basis weights. They are micrexed for increased drapeability and comfort.
