Cultura de segurança e compartilhamento global de aprendizados favorecem a contenção do COVID-19

A saúde e a segurança de todos os funcionários, terceiros e seus familiares sempre foram de extrema importância para a Ahlstrom-Munksjö.  Neste momento sensível, temos procurado trabalhar de forma que mantenha todos seguros e saudáveis, sem deixar de atender nossos clientes, a exemplo do que já estávamos praticando nas plantas onde a pandemia do COVID-19 começou mais cedo, como na China, Coreia do Sul e Itália. Com base nessas práticas, foi desenvolvido o Protocolo de Segurança Ahlstrom-Munksjö COVID-19, que está sendo seguido globalmente.

Outras medidas preventivas têm sido tomadas, desde o início de março, como por exemplo:

• Criação de um Comitê de Crise local específico para tratar de medidas relacionadas à prevenção do COVID-19, que se reúne diariamente;
• Trabalho à distância ou remoto em todos os casos possíveis, com a liberação dos recursos/equipamentos necessários aos colaboradores;
• Afastamento de aprendizes e estagiários e de todos os colaboradores que se enquadram no grupo de risco;
• Suspensão do deslocamento de funcionários corporativos entre as plantas da Ahlstrom-Munksjö e proibição de viagens;
• Postergação de eventos previstos no calendário (incluindo ForMobile 2020).

Para os que não estão trabalhando remotamente, ainda que em sistema de revezamento:

• Distribuição de álcool gel em diversos pontos das unidades;
• Distribuição de máscaras de proteção facial a 100% dos funcionários e adoção desse material como EPI obrigatório nas instalações da empresa e nos trajetos até ela e de retorno para casa;
• Reforço dos procedimentos de limpeza e higienização de todas as áreas da empresa, inclusive dos ônibus fretados e catracas de acesso;
• Redução da lotação máxima permitida nos ônibus fretados para 50% da capacidade, com assentos intercalados;
• Aferição da temperatura de 100% das pessoas que passam pela portaria da empresa;
• Forte restrição de recebimento de visitantes, com liberação somente pelos membros do Comitê de Crise e aplicação de formulário de declaração de estado de saúde do visitante;
• Nos restaurantes das fábricas, talheres e refeições separados em embalagens individuais, horários de refeição pré-definidos para cada área, para evitar aglomeração, aumento do espaço entre as mesas e cadeiras e assentos intercalados.

“Paralelamente a essas ações, temos reforçado a comunicação com nossos funcionários e terceiros, com orientações sobre como proceder dentro e fora da empresa, a fim de disseminar nossa cultura de segurança à comunidade. É fundamental que todas as mensagens cheguem a 100% das partes interessadas, de forma simples, direta, transparente e com a velocidade que o momento exige”, comenta Valmir Piton, Diretor Presidente da  Ahlstrom-Munksjö Brasil. “Também estamos acompanhando todas as informações a respeito do COVID-19, em conjunto com nossa equipe médica, seguindo práticas bem sucedidas de empresas do setor e compartilhando experiências e conhecimento. É importante que todos unam forças para superar essa crise”, completa.

Safety culture and global learning sharing favor containment of COVID-19

The health and safety of all employees, third parties and their families has always been extremely important to Ahlstrom-Munksjö. In this sensitive moment, we have tried to work in a way that keeps everyone safe and healthy while still attending our customers, as we were already practicing in the plants where the COVID-19 pandemic started earlier, such as in China, South Korea and Italy. Based on these practices, the Ahlstrom-Munksjö’s COVID-19 Security Protocol was developed, which is being followed globally.

Other preventive measures have been taken since the beginning of March, such as:

• The creation of a specific local Crisis Committee to address measures related to the prevention of COVID-19, which meets daily;
• Adaptation to work from home in all possible cases, with the providence of the necessary resources / equipment for employees;
• Removal of apprentices and interns and all employees who fall into the risk group from the unities;
• Suspension of the circulation of corporate employees between Ahlstrom-Munksjö plants and a ban on travel;
• Postponement of events foreseen in the calendar (including ForMobile 2020).

For those who are not working from home, even if in a relay system:

• Distribution of hand sanitizer in several points of the units;
• Distribution of face protection masks to 100% of the employees and adoption of this material as mandatory PPE in the company's facilities and on the routes to and from the company;
• Reinforcement of cleaning and sanitizing procedures in all areas of the company, including charter buses and access turnstiles;
• Reduction of the maximum capacity allowed in buses to 50% of capacity, with intercalated seats;
• Checking the temperature of 100% of the people who pass through the company's entrance;
• Strong restriction on receiving visitors, with clearance only by the members of the Crisis Committee and application of the visitor's health status form;
• In the factory restaurants, cutlery and meals are separated in individual packages, with pre-defined meal times for each area, to avoid crowding, and increased space between tables and chairs and intercalated seats.

“In parallel with these actions, we have reinforced communication with our employees and third parties, with guidance on how to proceed inside and outside the company, in order to disseminate our safety culture to the community. It is essential that all messages reach 100% of interested parties, in a simple, direct, transparent manner and with the speed that the moment requires ”, comments Valmir Piton, CEO of Ahlstrom-Munksjö Brasil. “We are also following up all the information regarding COVID-19, together with our medical team, following successful practices of companies in the sector and sharing experiences and knowledge. It is important that everyone joins forces to overcome this crisis ”, he adds.
